We headed through the smoke of several wildfires to the southern Oregon coast to meet up with some friends last weekend. Our relationship started in China in 2002 when we were part of seven families in the same adoption travel group. Since then, we've been able to see each other about once a year. Sometimes we go to our adoption agency's annual reunion, sometimes we go to the beach.
This year, we chose the beach, and it was such a nice relaxing time! The girls explored and imagined and collected driftwood. The adults breathed and visited and took pictures.
As you can see, there are no bears on the beach. The thing is, life is unpredictable, and you never know where you will meet a bear...
