The most requested thing for dinner around here? Noodles. With butter.

Well, that was unexpected!

Last morning of Christmas break!  Got up around 7, sprung the dog from his nighttime jail cell (that's what he calls it), fed him and put water in his bowl so he could drink it really fast and then spit it back up again, washed myself up and then wandered into the kitchen for some coffee and a breakfast burrito.  Kiddo was already up and I was just getting ready to tell her what time we would be leaving for church when I turned around to look out the window and saw this:
Woo-hoo!  It's been cold, but not very wet,  so I didn't expect this.

Poor Gunther- he is one cold gnome!

We got almost 2 inches by the time it stopped snowing in the early afternoon. What a fun way to end our vacation time!  We stayed in, watched a movie, baked some bread, and put away the last of the Christmas decor.  School starts 2 hours late tomorrow (unless the roads get worse) and my students will probably be dying to find out who won the snow prediction contest.

I love it when God surprises me like this!
