No, it doesn't.

Daylight Saving Time doesn't "save" anything.

It doesn't give us more daylight. The tilt of Earth's axis in spring and summer does that.

DST merely re-arranges the hours of daylight- taking one hour from the morning and putting it in the evening. Unnatural.

It would behoove us to be more cognizant of reality rather than following the totally incorrect and illogical statements of current pop culture. If I hear one more person say they can't wait to have one more hour of daylight, I'm going to be tempted to step on their toes or sneeze on them or something.
