Cleveland- inside the Botanical Gardens

The greenhouse has two sections- the desert and the rainforest.  We started with the desert.
There's a small hedgehog-like critter in there.

The rainforest section had tons of butterflies and birds.
Those are leaf-cutter ants working hard to carry leaves to...  somewhere...

Tomorrow- our trip to Cedar Point Amusement Park, the Roller Coaster Capital of the World!

Cleveland- outside the Botanical Gardens

The museum is in the process of adding several treehouses as part of their outdoor exhibit- it was fun to go through the ones that were already built and see the different ideas for structure and use of light.

Tomorrow- we show the inside exhibit of the desert and the rainforest.

Cleveland- the Art Museum

This museum is free.  FREEEEEEE!  We started with the outside exhibits- this one is a concave/convex mirror that shows everything upside down on the concave side.  As we got closer to it we realized that it was dangerous...  Apparently, the sun's rays could be magnified and focused to the point that it could burn or blind someone.  Hmmm.  Glad they told us.  Wouldn't want that.  Especially on a cloudy day...

This side reflected everything right side up.
We know this artist's cousin.
If I only had a brain...
Wolf brain.
Lots of brains.

It was fun to explore the sights near our hotel!  Tomorrow- the botanical gardens!
