The most requested thing for dinner around here? Noodles. With butter.

That dreaded day has arrived.

It seems I am not the only one obsessed with the idea of Daylight Saving Time.  There is even a book about the history and the whys and wherefores of the whole thing.

I haven't read it yet- not sure if I plan to because it will just be disheartening to learn that lobbyists have yet one more thing to sway our government in the wrong direction.  If you think that voters have a say, you are wrong.  Those who can afford to hire the lobbyists have the most say.  And who hires lobbyists to ensure that DST remains?  Golf and country clubs, charcoal manufacturers, big oil.  All of them want us to continue to spend and enjoy our leisure as deep into the evening as possible.  DST provides them with more revenue.  Doesn't matter that it doesn't save daylight, energy, or time.

I have to go now and start re-setting all my clocks.  Pooh.
